Based on the results of observations made on the congregation members of GKSI Smirna, it was found that the congregation is not fully aware of their duties and responsibilities in actualizing the Great Commission. This situation arises due to the lack of human resources and an insufficient understanding of the duties and responsibilities as believers in the context of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). Therefore, the solution taken by the service provider was to provide training to the GKSI Smirna congregation in order to address these challenges. The purpose of this PkM is to help the congregation understand the intent and purpose of the Great Commission, as well as to realize that all of God's people must fulfill this mandate. In this writing, the methods used include observation, literature study, discussions, and surveys. The results obtained from this training showed that the GKSI Smirna congregation participated in the actualization of the Great Commission.
Jenius Harita Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal PKM Setiadharma https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.sttsetia.ac.id/index.php/pkm/article/view/519 Wed, 25 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0800 PENYULUHAN POLA PIKIR WAWASAN KRISTEN TENTANG LGBT PADA MAHASISWA JURUSAN PENDIDIKAN IPS UNIVERSITAS PELITA HARAPAN DAN GURU SD GMIM LELEMA KABUPATEN MINAHASA SELATAN https://jurnal.sttsetia.ac.id/index.php/pkm/article/view/520
The ease of obtaining information about LGBT and becoming a ‘lifestyle’ of some people today, has raised concerns in the world of education. The understanding of gender in the name of human rights can open space for the formation of LGBT in Indonesia. This condition destroys the human concept of God's creation, which is differentiated between men and women. However, LGBT people as individuals created by God, and have fallen into sin, should not receive inhumane treatment. LGBT people need to be given a touch of ‘love’ in the form of education to bring LGBT people to the construction of God's creation. This concept needs to be understood by social science education teachers of Universitas Pelita Harapan and teachers of Elementary School of GMIM Lelema in South Minahasa Regency as the bearers of character building. It turns out that LGBT is associated with the concept of gender and has not been properly understood. The variety of gender thinking in the social sciences about gender requires direction from Christian insights. Activities were carried out in the form of virtual face-to-face through zoom and Pre-Test and Post-Test were conducted.
Devy Stany Walukow, Roedy Silitonga Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal PKM Setiadharma https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.sttsetia.ac.id/index.php/pkm/article/view/520 Wed, 25 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0800 IBADAH RUMAH TANGGA: KELUARGA SEBAGAI KUNCI PEMULIHAN GENERASI KECANDUAN GADGET DI GKSI EL-SHADDAI https://jurnal.sttsetia.ac.id/index.php/pkm/article/view/521
The growth of digital technology has changed many aspects of life, including the way children and young people connect and learn. The excessive use of gadgets among the younger generation has raised concerns about the negative effects on their physical, mental and spiritual health. In GKSI El-Shaddai Bojo, gadget addiction among children has started to affect their family life and their position in worship activities. This post aims to examine the position of household worship as a recovery facility for the gadget-addicted generation. This research was attempted using participatory observation and training procedures carried out at GKSI El-Shaddai Bojo, West Sulawesi. The results of this PkM activity show that household worship can be an efficient medium in reducing gadget dependence and strengthening spiritual values in the family. Through togetherness in prayer, praise, and dialogue of God's Word, the family is expected to produce an area conducive to the spiritual growth of children, while building their personalities to be able to experience the challenges of the digital age.
Tresa Marbun Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal PKM Setiadharma https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.sttsetia.ac.id/index.php/pkm/article/view/521 Wed, 25 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0800 PEMBIMBINGAN JEMAAT DI GEREJA KRISTEN OIKOUMENE RIMBA BELIAN TENTANG REVITALISASI PEMAHAMAN PERNIKAHAN KUDUS https://jurnal.sttsetia.ac.id/index.php/pkm/article/view/527
Holy marriage is an essential concept in Christian teachings, yet its understanding is often neglected by the congregation. At GKO Rimba Belian, revitalizing the understanding of holy marriage has become a significant focus in strengthening the moral and spiritual integrity of the congregation. The primary challenge faced is the lack of awareness regarding the importance of a God-blessed marriage and the ethical values contained in the Bible, as referenced in Hebrews 13:4 and Genesis 1:27-31. This research aims to guide the congregation in understanding marriage as a sacred institution that involves moral responsibility, reason, and love, as outlined in Colossians 3:14. Utilizing a participatory method that incorporates discussions, Bible studies, and direct mentorship, this research offers a comprehensive approach to educating the congregation. The uniqueness of this study lies in the integration of spiritual guidance and theological understanding of marriage, a combination rarely applied in church contexts. The results demonstrate an increased understanding of holy marriage among the congregation and a strengthened commitment to these values.
Yeremia Hia Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal PKM Setiadharma https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.sttsetia.ac.id/index.php/pkm/article/view/527 Wed, 25 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0800 PENGUSULAN PEMBANGUNAN ‘RUMAH SUSUN SEDERHANA’ DI UNIVERSITAS KRISTEN INDONESIA TORAJA https://jurnal.sttsetia.ac.id/index.php/pkm/article/view/542
This article is the result of a proposal for the construction of Simple Apartments at the Indonesian Christian University of Toraja as a solution to address the issue of limited housing for students and staff. This proposal is motivated by the high demand for affordable and nearby housing, as well as the limited land around the university. The Simple Apartments are expected to provide adequate, safe, and comfortable living facilities at an affordable cost. This development is also designed to support academic and non-academic activities and improve the quality of life for its residents. Through this approach, the Indonesian Christian University of Toraja can make a positive contribution to the well-being of the campus and surrounding community. This study outlines the planning, design, and feasibility analysis of the construction project, as well as identifies potential challenges and solutions that can be implemented. It is hoped that this proposal can serve as a model for other educational institutions in providing quality housing facilities for students and staff.
Semuel Linggi Topayung Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal PKM Setiadharma https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.sttsetia.ac.id/index.php/pkm/article/view/542 Wed, 25 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0800
