Bimbingan Belajar Matematika dan Membaca bagi Siswa di Desa Damar Makmur Kecamatan Tualan Hulu

This tutoring program aims to improve the reading and mathematics skills of elementary school students in Damar Makmur Village, Tualan Hulu District, Central Kalimantan, who face difficulties in formal learning. Limited time at school and parents’ busy schedules in the world of work mean that students need additional lessons. The program lasts for six months with a total of 72 sessions which include interactive teaching methods, initial tests, and regular evaluations to assess student progress. In its implementation, students are tutored for free at the GKSI Hosiana manse, with a study schedule three times a week. Evaluation results show significant improvements, where reading scores increased from 60 to 95, and mathematics scores from 55 to 100. This program succeeded in building students’ self-confidence and encouraging their interest in learning. With community support and parental involvement, it is hoped that this program can continue to improve the quality of education in the area. Program bimbingan belajar ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dan matematika siswa Sekolah Dasar di Desa Damar Makmur, Kecamatan Tualan Hulu, Kalimantan Tengah, yang menghadapi kesulitan dalam pembelajaran formal. Terbatasnya waktu di sekolah seta kesibukan orang tua dalam dunia kerja sehingga siswa membutuhkan pelajaran tambahan. Program berlangsung selama enam bulan dengan total 72 sesi yang mencakup metode pengajaran interaktif, tes awal, serta evaluasi berkala untuk menilai perkembangan siswa. Dalam pelaksanaannya, siswa dibimbing secara gratis di pastori GKSI Hosiana, dengan jadwal belajar tiga kali seminggu. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan, di mana nilai membaca meningkat dari 60 menjadi 95, dan nilai matematika dari 55 menjadi 100. Program ini berhasil membangun kepercayaan diri siswa dan mendorong minat belajar mereka. Dengan dukungan masyarakat dan keterlibatan orang tua, program ini diharapkan dapat berlanjut untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di wilayah tersebut.
